The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will accept applications from October 18, 2021 to May 6, 2022.

LIHEAP is a cash and crisis grant program that helps income eligible households pay for their heating bill.

Offices will be open for walk-in applicants on Thursdays at 846 N. Broad St. and ​6325 Frankford Ave, Unit D in Philadelphia.

NeighborhoodLIFT Down Payment Assistance program

The NeighborhoodLIFT program offers $15,000 in forgivable grants for down payments and/or closing costs. Applicants must submit proof of homebuyer education (homebuyer workshops info HERE) and a pre-approval letter for mortgage financing from a NeighborhoodLIFT approved lender in order to apply. The first application period is October 11 to October 18. There will be two more rounds of applications during November. Round 2 dates: Nov. 1 – Nov. 8 and Round 3 dates: Nov. 11- Nov. 22.

During each application period, 100 grants will be awarded. If you do not receive a grant during the first application period, you will be rolled over to the second. Please note that not everyone who applies will receive a grant.
