Thousands of Pennsylvania workers have had their unemployment benefits stopped illegally without notice or ability to appeal the stoppage.
A Supreme Court decision called Java vs. California makes it clear that once benefits are granted the state has only two weeks to provide a written determination or resume payments to the worker.
PUP alone, has over 300 people in our data base who have contacted us with problem.
We are asking that the US Department of Labor intervene with the state of PA to require them to follow the Java case and resume checks for people whose benefits have been stopped without written notice.
