PUP recently joined our partners outside Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol to send an important message to our Congresspeople: Voting to cut Medicaid is voting to close hospitals! The event was filmed and turned into a short tv ad that is running multiple times a day on cable tv in Bucks County.
Congress is considering massive cuts to Medicaid which could reduce or take away healthcare coverage for millions of Americans.
Hospitals across the country rely on patients’ Medicaid coverage to stay afloat. Cutting benefits will force hospitals to close.
Almost 3 million Pennsylvanians, 23% of the state, are enrolled in Medicaid. 33% of all children and 35% of all births are covered by Medicaid. Our elected officials must stand with their constituents and say NO CUTS TO MEDICAID, NO CLOSED HOSPITALS.
